Title: Still Functional
Name: Sendoa Bergasa
Country: Espaņa
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

I made this robot back in 2004 for an animation project. Unfortunately, I didn't model it appropriately due to my lack of experience in character animation.

Now, two years later, and considering that this robot will never be suitable for animation I've decided to use it for a still image. The idea was to try to improve my skills on texturing, lighting and compositing, so any comments, specially concerning those three aspects, would be appreciated.

Whats wrong with it? It looks like a great old campy robot from the 50's and 60's scifi films!

I agree, the beat up looking textures on it look great to me.

Well, I think you've done well in all three aspects. In fact the only thing I didn't like was the robot model. Why not make a new one and just insert it in this scene? :)

This scene reminded me of the Jawa Transport in Star Wars Ep. IV ;)

Great composition. I like it. The box in the back looks very real.
