Hi guys! i have a little texture 512*512 this is a wood texture.
i have applied it to my nurbs surface as normal. and then as projection. but it doesnt look good. when i chose repet UV tex
it all looks messy. when i changed to projection i couldnt change the repet UV texture... any good tutorial about how to texture those Nurbs? :-) thanks

As far as I know the only way to texture a NURBS surface is by using the "interactive placement tool".

You can also try reversing the surface direction. That may solve your problem.

I found very good technique for texturing NURBS in Deep Paint:

take your nurbs object, convert it to polygons.

then export it in *.obj format.

import it to DP.

in DP paint what you need using projection paint - so you will prevent texture from stretching.

save your map and load in Maya hypershade.

P.S. you can choose any resolution for your file texture in DP
