I have a composition containing a number of vector layers (Let's call it Comp 1). That composition is then nested as a layer in another composition (Comp 2).
The vector layers within the Comp 1 are set to Continually Rasterize, and the Comp 1 itself is set to continually rasterize within Comp 2.
I then duplicated Comp 1 so that Comp 2 contains two Comp 1 layers, and I tried linking them with expressions so their positions and scale will match each other as I manipulate them. For some reason, though, the expressions wouldn't have any effect no matter what I did.
Finally, through trial and error, I realized that when Continually Rasterize is checked for both the Comp 1 layers and Comp 1 itself, the expressions stop working for no reason. When they're unchecked, they work exactly as I originally expected them to (and, of course, it looks like crap).
I know Continually Rasterize changes the order of layer effects and transformations, but this is ridiculous-- all I want is to have two instances of a nested composition that follow each other AND, since they're vector-based to begin with, aren't blurry and pixelated. Needless to say I shouldn't have to choose one or the other. How can I fix this?
