View Full Version : Motion Designer Despair...

Hey people,

I've been trying to make a cloth banner blow in the wind. It's attached to a wooden post thing. The problem is that the banner keeps penetrating the pole. Collision detection is on and I keep uping the skin thickness value but if I go too high the colth distorts a lot. If it's too low it' goes right through. I checked back to the manual and tried everything in there. I'm sure it's something small I'm over looking but any help would be greatly appreciated. Below is the flag going through the pole. :(

do you have enough geometry for it to hit, post a grab of the wireframes.

Motion desinger is usually fairly good with objects that aren't that complex, it may be a case of just keep playing.

You could try having the cloth out horizontal and letting it fall that will give motion designer some time to calculate it a bit more.

Oh man. I went back and looked and it was a stupid mistake. It all works well now. Thanks for the suggestions
