Maybe some of you were following my latest project over the last one or two months - now it's finished.
We (I and two friends) had to do a short movie turning a poem into moving pictures. And here it is. I know that there are some flaws in it but project deadline did not allow fixing them (considering the rendertime of over 2 weeks for 720x576 DVD resolution)
Sorry that the sample images are blue-shaded but they have to fit into my webpage. Of course the animation is full color.

Animation - Microsoft MPEG-V2 video-codec, Microsoft ADPCM audio-codec, 320 x 256, with sound, 1min 39sec, 7Mb (http://www.heaven-is-3d.com/watching/anim/fish.avi)

Since I'm attending a german university the poem is german too - but here's a quick and dirty translation:

The common hospitalism

Small fish in dull water
stares with his tired eyes
quiet and dump
in the fish tank

Small fish so bland
stares quiet and dump
says not a word
he's got nothing to say
and if he had no one would listen

somebody comes to feed him
fake insects in bags
and lies: hm tastes good
fish is speachless of anger

Small fish in dull water
stares with his tired eyes
quiet and dump
in the fish tank

and dies....

---
only that it rhymes in german :D

Wow! Sehr schön! Hat mir gut gefallen.
Hervorragend gesprochen, Musik sehr passend eingesetzt!
Gute Arbeit!

Wow! Very nice! I like it a lot.
Very well spoken, the music matches the pictures perfectly!
I only have to critisize the water that isn't "dull", but dark. You should also have worked more on the textures.
However neither this, nor the rather horrible compression disturbs the wonderfully transported mood, and with this, the overall impression! Good work!
