hi everyone !
Been a while !

Latest things i worked on (last month or so)
2 models for an indy game school project named "SONATE" i'm helping out with:
- a very small sized genius/inventor

For reference, they wanted the texture to be "steampunkish" (unlike the concept) and somewhat similar to the main

thanks in advance for any crits and comments you may have, and for any tips or advices , particularly for texturing, as the inventor is only the third model i actually managed to texture fully...

cool idea man, i love that you are using wings...such a sweet program. i couple of things that jumped right out at me:
the inventors beard, it has some wierd dark patches near the tops of each segment that really makes it look tiled, check the alpha or the difuse for this. also some wierd tris in the head on the side, check the attached image, ive highlighted them in red, id get rid of those edges and just leave it as a quad. try to eliminate tris wherever possible, it helps most engines run more efficently. also helps with tri stripping. i like the textures on this guys and the only think i see tht relly catches my eye is the hair chunks on your texture sheet. they are so small with lots of wated uv space between them. maybe increasing their size will help with the above problem as well. a guy who works for EA once said "for ever wasted pixel of uv space an angel loses its wings" SAVE SOME ANGELS :P normal mapped fellow looks quite nice and the rocker obviosly is being worked on texturewise, too early to crit it. overal a very solid start!

The texturing of the inventor's shirt and pants just looks strange. I'd suggest you go look at some reference to how clothing folds work.
