View Full Version : 2d help- where to go from here
kwshipman 01-04-2003, 06:22 AM This is an image that I am working on as practice. It is based on some of Shane glines stuff. I want to do something with the hair like a new style, but cant decide on what. ANy suggestions would be appreciated. Also any typs on style, porportions, etc. for the entire piece would be helpful.

Looks really nice. One thing that sort of looks strange is her right arm. It looks sorta small? Not sure. Keep up the good work though :)

Hi Kwshipman, looking very good!
I have nothing to comment on the body proportions, it's good as it is. But maybe there are two things that may make the girl looks even better:
First, her head looks a bit strange. Maybe if you draw the guidelines for the head (you know, oval, center line, eyeline) will help :)
Second, the clothes. What makes it look 'odd' is that the backside (at the lower part) of the shirt shouldn't be visible from this point of view, assuming that the shirt's lower edge is of the same length. Unless, of course, the shirt's backside is longer than the front side.
Just my two cents :)
Keep on posting :bounce: we'd like to see more!

small update, cleaned up the lines a bit and moved the strap on the right. Tell me what you think.

WarAngel - Do you mean her right or our right?
I think you mean our right and I agree, nopt sure how I will fix it as that arm is supposed to be a little more behind her, but I dont think that I am conveying that correctly.
mawashi - The eyes appear to be of a bit, not sure if I will fix that or not, I like a little asymitry. And the ear will be totally redone. I think thoes will help the look of the head. Also her hair doesnt fit the shape of the head that will be fixed. As for the shirt, I will probably make is less noticeable, but my opinion is that it should be higher because of her breasts lifting the shirt somewhat, I have noticed this on my wife.
