What do You think, how this corridor is lit?
I think there are dynamic lights with shadow projectors in windows, but how they did those colour shadows from glass, is it a lightmap? Or projected texture?
This game in next-gen mode looks awesome (unfortunately my GF6600GT is too old video card to play this game in next-gen mode  )

It could be as simple as projecting a texture of the windows and then you have the shadows of the character to block it out. It's probably not coloured shadows, but I have no idea so don't take my word for it :)

Thanks.
Most impressive here is that everything casts shadows! not only character, but also dynamic actors, static meshes (including foliage), and level geometry too!
TR:L. environment seems to be lit by dynamic lights (all normalmaps looks flawless), but it looks so smooth, that I can't believe, they did not used some other tricks. I wish to know what are those tricks ;)
Hail to Crystal Dynamics

I love the way this game looks!
Even my FX5200 can play it at a decent framerate with everything topped (Except AA) and still make it look good :D
the lighting, the models, everything is just perfect :)
the shadows still have some sporadic bugs, though (as in not showing up where they should) :P

Menge - Do You have next-gen content enabled?
Take a look here:

I was talking about next-gen version.
Hmmm what so next gen about this? It's still pretty lowpoly and the hands are going inside the stone? I don't see any "next gen" features on this, just some normalmaps and shadows.

I see normalmapping in the next gen version ;P
Other than that I recently saw a review of it on the TV, the skin of Lara for example changes according to what she does, it shines after being in the wet. It gets dirty after being in the wet and rolling around, the dirt drips off when getting wet again with the little streams of water sliding down her...br....eh....body. Aside from that I don't find it looking realistic for some uncertain reason.
i havent played the game yet so i cant really say but from the pic it doesnt look like dynamic lighting.

You can't judge this game after seeing only these screenshots. It isn't realistic, but which Tomb Raider was?
I've called it 'next-gen' because this is how this option is named in game menu.

the following link goes to the review @ bit-tech.net which explains/shows the differences between normal and next-gen modes : http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2006/04/11/tomb_raider_legend_review/1.html
it has some great differences with next gen(if ur graphics card has the tools built into it to produce the next gen stuff)and i'm deffinitely going to be getting this game :) .

Seems I'm in current-gen mode. Not Next gen... I must say, however that those two screenshots you posted are horrible examples of "Next Gen"-ness :P
I can't turn on next gen effects with my current video card it seems... aw well... and this thing already looks awesome when not in "Next gen" mode :)
