Okay this is a very newbi question, I'm making a model right now and I want to make a section that is a diffrent colour, but i'm not sure how to do that if its the same mesh, and how to aling the points if its a diffrent mesh..
any way for you guys to help me out here?

see basicly i'm going to make this guys spine a robotic thing, give him a sorta human robot combo thing.. sept he's like gold chrome and the roboto will be clean white and black...

poly clusters or do it in the texture map
