would have to see more to make an accurate critic of what ur doing but from what i see now u should shaw those extra rows around the armpit and make an indentation with a few edges

don't worry too much about it being TOO low poly,

tricking the eye into thinking it's seeing more polys than are really there, is a skill
that comes with time.

creating correct and convincing shapes is a skill you've got to get right asap!

So keep it as lowpoly as you can, but definetely give it whatever polys it needs!

Good start btw!

@junehare

yeah I think that so, Im worried about my shoulder deformation

@ tad
thx man, I ll keep updating, as long as the silhouette doesnt show the sharp edges too much I ll let that low exept for the joints...

good start to it. definatly push the sillohete above all things,helps make the character read from a distance and look good up close. dont forget what can be acomplished via texture work. also try not to go too low poly...4-5k is good for current gen characters....and dont forget nextgen is going to take over by next year....

okay, here is my current progress, which is

http://student.vfs.com/%7E3d60arif/junkies/manawar.jpg

before I decide to give more detail to the eyes
Is that necessary to make the eyesocket on this character? or i just leave it as texture
btw I wanna make her blink, shrink her eyes, etc ... but stays look flat as well as anime
i still got no idea with that .... ;;;;

and i got some problem with the polygon smoothing that i marked on red circle ...
the smoothing angle is looks different beetween left and right side ...
i have no idea why is that happen .... helllppppppp ^^ ....

ok thats my progression,
total current tris for head : 570 tris

thx

you could have the eyes cut into the face (outlined with edges) and use a seperate texturesheet, then you could animate the co-ords of the texture to move the eyes.

other than that i think you could get away with aloty less edge loops on that head, and acheive the same result

plus they eyebrows are too low atm.
