View Full Version : Would you like a blueberry?
H. Ikeda 01-04-2003, 04:44 AM Hi everybody,
It's just about GUI examples. Simply select Edit > Preferences > Common > Scheme > BlueBerry.
We could change background by editing psd files in Resource > schemes > blueberry folder.
(left) brighter background image, (right) Aqua-like blueberry.

Gorgeous! As if it weren't c4d...
In the upper one, selected tabs seem dark, but the lower is perfect about that.
I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.:bounce:
selected items only look to dark because he forgot to make the text white....i wish i had r8:P

very strange, it shows up in the schemes folder when browsed to with explorer but won't show in the schemes dropdown box in c4d, but.... if you create a new scheme folder and copy the aqua sheme to the new folder it then shows up in the scheme dropdown? very odd
anway here it is ( sorry about quality )

Maxon has an agreement with Apple about the aqua sheme, so to have an aqua scheme for pc would have to be created by a user not someone in maxon, and would not be able to be distirbuted by maxon either, we wouldn't want them to get in trouble.
I'll see what I can do since there have been so many requests for that.
been requests for an XP style one too, my only concern is do you do the hideous blue/green one, or the olive or the silver?

only works if you copy the filles over or lad them manually the scheme itself doesn't show up in the list. thats cause maxon isn't allowed to offer it to PC users

yes, technically any scheme is possible since you can load any image into C4D now its slightly bette than typical skinning cause you can simply load any image in.
for example:
http://www.cgi.third-era.com/~kaiskai/ugly.jpg
you can also create your own buttons and such
http://www.cgi.third-era.com/~kaiskai/st.jpg
Here is the third in the Maxonscheme collection I'm am doing this also shows more accurately how text colours will look in the final version. Do note that the editors view colours have changed, not that it matters thoughs aren't transported along with the scheme files so when you download a scheme the editor will still be grey

those are looking really nice, especially the dark one, would be good for a darkened studio, it'd be easier on the eyes, nice work, gimme gimme :bounce: :applause:

dohhh...black c4d!
In short,
- we could change and create scheme (including background, buttons, bars...) by editing bitmap files in schemes folder. We can freely skin c4d.
- we might have some collection of scheme presets in maxon's site in the near future.:)

one problem with black, the main reason the starttrek like one isn't black is because that means you will need to go in and change some main C4D icons, you'll notice thefour edit view controls (move scale rotate and the four view button) are no longer visible.

You just have to rename the folder ('AGUA' for example) and you can see in your list.

Thanks Kaiskai, it wasn't a good example. Extreme cases such as black or white background should be avoided because of the reason you pointed out. Generally in the sense of legibility or design, a good balance is difficult for different windows, buttons, text fields and icons, so your collection will be valuable.:)

yeah the startrek one is pretty god awful though I'd use black and white over that one

I expected the scheme menu has aqua by default in mac. How about blueberry in the menu and folder? I guess menu items are os9, aqua, something like win in mac, and standard, os9, blueberry in win.
