View Full Version : CD skin tag??
tcobb 04-30-2006, 01:52 AM I was trying to figure out CD joints & skin just a bit. I'm looking at the new IK bob, and the mesh has a CD skin tag, but there is no such tag to be found. I also tried using the paint skin weight tool and nothing happened.. I realize this may be futile without any documentation yet, but it's frustrating to be so clueless with my awesome new toys.
Anybody help?

I still can't find the skin tag!
I have a CD bind pose tag and a CD skin cluster tag, and that's it.

Howdy,
Yes, the Skin tag is not available from the Object Manager's menu. You add the Skin tag by selecting the CD Bind Skin command from the menu Plugins/CD_JointSkin1.0/CD Bind Skin. The reason for this is that before you can skin a mesh, the Skin tag needs to know to what you're skinning the mesh. So you select the mesh, then call the CD Bind Skin command, which will open up a dialog where you select your skeleton and choose your skinning options.
