I'm kinda embarrassed to post this...but aniway
For school, I have to make a so called "diploma project" (we'll recieve some kind of diploma after this). It consists of designing a house, from hand drawn concept to CG 3D model to real model. I've done the concept and the "paper work" and now I'm modelling it, I want to make all the details possible (not very highly detailed now, because I don't have much time left: only 3 weeks or less, for the entire process, including real life model).

We didn't have to worry about structural things or how the pipes & wiring will be, only the aspect. Aniway I had many sketches and my teacher liked this one the best (it's not realy something, but aniway...).

I lost the 2D drawings, but aniway here's the progress I did so far (3ds max 8 + maxwell RC5/1.0). I started making kitchen and living room objects (I'm making furniture & doodads separatly and then import them in the house scene).

I didn't invent any of the objects (except the house...well, I don't know if I actualy invented it, but I didn't inspire from anything when "designing" it), they are inspired from magazines or from objects that I have in the house.

Aniway, tell me what you think about these ugly models and any advice will be highly appreciated:

All renders are kinda poor quality, they're just for me to have an impression on how they'll look. Also, non of these is in their permanent placement, just render scenes.

Very nice stuff... I've never really sat down to do architectural work, so I'll be following the progress on this one :)

that looks great, i really like the chair!
i think they'll look better if you render them with higher samples, especially the chair will be great then!

Thanks for the comments.
Aye, they should all look better with more samples. But now I only need to visualise their final look, no need for perfect renders for each individual piece.
Here are some more things (I got too lazy to set up materials & textures in some cases):

Sorry for double posting, but this thread hasn't been active for quite some time. And not that anyone will look, but here's some more progress:

(quick preview of the kitchen, final placement)

The house on the right was designed and made by a classmate of mine, as his project.

I'm now making the vegetation, and I'm making it by exporting stuff from Vue 5 infinite. But the porblem is that the UV mapping of the tree trunks is very messed up:

If anyone knows how to export them with no problems, please let me know how. 'Else I'll just paint over some tree trunk texture with Photoshop on the final renders :P

i like how the kitchen is set up. if the rest of the rooms are set up as good as that then this will become a good looking project.
the tree has allot of the same leaves wich makes it a bit weird, for the rest i can only say "keep it up" :)

thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, the trees are not under my control, for they are generated by Vue and I'm a newby with it.
here's a pre-visualisation with some trees:

now I only have the textures left.
