Make sure that the object is selectable. I found that if the object is on an unselectable layer, even though I select the object in the Explorer, I have to make this layer selectable to be able to select components on the object.

Hope this helps

Your saying that if you make a cube there's always one poly that you can't select? everytime?

Hum not sure it will help but have you tried to turn on Raycast Select: Include Backfacing Polygons in the User Preferences/Interaction tab?

Hope this helps

Its a BUG!! Actually if you go inside the object and select the face from in there it works, or if you use the draw selection polygon tool that will work I think thats the "Y" button. It seem everytime they release new xsi they screw up one of the old tools...

no it is not. what you have to do: click F7 the you select ALL the polyons with that. then you click Alt + right click and then "invert polygons".
then it should work.

Before making such statements make sure that everyone experience the same thing. A bug can only be a bug if it is reproduceable. What other examples do you have as screw ups?

Do you have a radeon graphic card?
