I am having a blend shape issue and I have searched over the forums for my question and I found 2-3 similar topics but they didnt seem to answer my question .

So here's my question. I have a character with almost 20-21 blend shape targets. I made the model in 3ds max (I just didnt want to model over in Maya) and also all the targerts and then exported all of that as a .obj . Now when I am trying to do Blend Shape on my main character it moves to the location of the target. I know this question has been asked before but if someone could be nice enough to provide me with a solution I woul really appreciate that.

i guess your objects do not have any translate xyz values and lies side by side. try to move all objects to the same spot in your work space and freez transformations. then you can move them around...

agreed. all target shapes when you bring them in via obj, need to be in the same location as your base shape.

Although I would probably zero them to the same location in Max and export them instead of doing the moving them in Maya. Only reason is it would probably be faster, since you would still have pivot info intact and could easily snap them back.
