hi all

trying to do a test on the surfac sampler since i had an issue that no one was able to pinpoint...so been doin some simple tests myself.

why is it doing this? see the black area on the left face? that should be there...

I looked at the map and for some reason theres that yellowish spot on the blue areas...which should be there...what's that about and how do i correct it?

Oh and while im at it...how do i make so the map is all blueish instead of this myrad of colors...i need to export maps to an engine and i dont know if itll take these.

thanks.

does it render the same way? Oh, and what settings are you using to bake the normal map?

Make sure your output setting for "Map Space" is set to "Tangent Space". Right now it looks like it's set to "Object Space".
Under Target Surfaces make sure you have the search envelope set large enough to catch the surface you are generating the normal map from. You can view it by setting the display to "envelope" or "both". If that doesn't work try playing around with the settings under Advanced Options.

Ok i did that just how you said and...i even set the envelope to 10. still same problem, however it fixed the back sides.
