All I would say is tha you're beak looks shiny. Overall I think the character has a lot of style charm though.

looks great. how did you do the feathers? just a transparency map on some geometry?

have a clip map,a transparency map in geometrY ,(the feathers are aligned subdivision planes)this technic is optimized for animation and very similar to Aristomenis Tsirbas hair procedure for hair.

yes grat work....i knew that feathers were done with opacioty maoing( thats wat i call that tekneeek) :)
