Hi all,
I started doing CG with C4D5 a few years back. I now work for a game dev company doing modeling and texturing, but we use 3DS Max. IMHO, Max doesn't have many strong points compaired to C4D, but one thing I *did* like was the viewport movements for zooming/dragging/rotation. Per-vertex editing was a breeze with these viewport controls.

C4D does have an equivalent, the 1, 2 and 3 keys for drag, scale and rotate I believe. But all with the same mouse button. I was wondering if there was a way to utilize all three mouse buttons and possible only one key to perform these (and other) actions! Any ideas? Now using C4D7.x btw.

On the Mac I use USBOverdirve to assign what-ever (keystrokes, etc . . .) I wish to my mouse buttons. You can get all the info on it here: USBOverdrive (http://www.USBOverdrive.com)

This mouse is a great complement to 3D software. Note it work with Macs using the software I mentioined above, it is native for windows based sytems and come with software for programming the buttons: Razor Boomslang (http://www.razerzone.com/)

Hope this helps! :lightbulb
