Ryan Meredith-Jones (Autodesk, Toronto) presents miscellaneous tips and tricks for improving mental ray rendering performance in Maya.
Avi Katz (IDT, Toronto) discusses the internal details of the .mi file.
Steve Ross (Chum TV, Toronto) presents results from personal projects for clients, TTC and Ericsson. In addition, he’ll discuss cell shading and the use of Combustion for compositing rendered elements.
Alan Opler presents an overview of a mental ray training course offered by mental images and the L.A. mental ray User Group.

Come with your questions, comments and your own tall tales and stupid tricks to share with the group. Mark down these vital details:

Sounds nice, I wish it wasnt that far away. ;)

Will there be something like a video report of the meeting?

Hi there,

Thanks for your interest in TOmrUG. Last month's meeting was not videotaped, our apologies. We've had many requests about video, webcasts etc. so we're looking into solutions for future meetings so that people in other geographical locations can participate.
