hello there,

i have a scene in maya, i enabled the mentalRay for maya plugin and saved the file. my problem is: i executed the Render command in the terminal, but unfortunately it did not use the mentalrayformaya render.

why is it that the mayarender_with_mr command is not supported in maya7.0, how do i render my scene now using the mentalray for maya plugin in the commandline?

Start your cmd-line with one of the following:

render -r mr
or
render -r file

The first specifically invokes mentalray-for-maya, the 2nd says use the renderer that was specified in the scene file (thus being the better choice for using render-layers).

render -help
gives you more information about cmd-line syntax.
