Hello world,
I am seriously fed up with Maya's project management. As lined out in a previous post, I work on several projects parallel and wish to render to different directories. However, before starting any batch files I have to start Maya on the machine, set the project so the output-path ist defined, close maya and then run the batch. Within the batch, I use "-proj" and "-rd" commands to no avail, none work or would dare to override the "project settings" last set in Maya. And, yes, deleting any "workspace" files or other prefs that contain path names only results in the "user documets" folder being used instead of any network drive...and, suprisingly, the error occurs regardless of the renderer used.
What could be the source of such a serious mishap ? Is there any other way to override the crap project settings ?
Thanks world, chris.scherer
