I really want to test out the speed and details of the app, but need to demo it somehow..

Do you mean Maya PLE? No, the RfM Eval will not work with Maya PLE. Alias does not allow plugins to be loaded with their PLE version.

yeah it does... well that sucks.. No way to test it out.. Sigh Only get one choice on this purchace gotta pick the right one...

pick the right one of what? If you don't have Maya and you don't have Renderman for Maya, and you want to buy one, the choice is clear. You need Maya first.
