Hi!
Im using Shave and a Haircut (version 4.0) to make a small characther fluffy but got this problem that the hair doesnt, with dynamics and gravity, bend around the surface but instead turn straight down, through the polygons.

while reading through the .pdf I got to the text

"Enable Collision
Turning this on will enable collision detection for the current shaveNode. In order for collisions to occur, you must have already added the collision object to the shaveNode."

and well, the option is turned on (auto from the beginning) the pSphere (in my test-scene) is connected (as I selected it and then selected Shave --> Create New Hair)...

so my question(s) is:
how do I connect the pSphere so the hair wont ignore its shape and fall realistic?
or as the connection already seems to be made;
what connections (inputs/outputs) should be connected to eachother?

If there's an answer to this, I would love to know as well. I've managed to find a couple of different ways to get the hair that I've made to collide with my main model, but none of them seem to work effectively. I always end up with a lots of hair passing right through my model, even though they seem to want to lay on top of it. The model I'm making has long hair that is supposed to drape over top of it's body,

I'm at my wits end here. I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong or if Shave has a not-so-well implemented dynamics system (doubtful). Help!

you can make your guide curves dynamic with maya hair and let it collide with your head.

but honesty if you want to do animation you have to use maya hair.

Shave is very good for short hair ,but when you want to do very long hair just forget it.
