Ok.. here is the Concept, I've drawn into my sketchbook!
I tried to make a scene, where the character is not doing a phisical journey.
The journey begins, and he starts to read a book, he will be that involved, that the enviroment around him is going to change.

great idea man! I love the idea of the enviroment changing, but I think you should add more onto it to pick that up..bc I didnt realize it until I read what you wrote. Why not have the walls crack down behind him, and giant trees come through with exotic animals, or have the ground tear up and lava spurt out, weird stuff like that! i think that could overall add a lot more to this already great image. keep it up !

Ah, nothing like a good book to send one on a fantastic journey. I like it. Very good start. My one thought so far would be to crop into the image, bring the viewer closer so that we experience that great expression at it's full impact. Great start!

@ sideache
Thank you. I think I will color the image first, and add more details. Later I will see which cut-out I take.

I need more stuff in that room, so that it looks more cozy.

I've made some changes for the colors.
And exchanged the Clock with that Goldfish glas. I hope it looks now as if the room tips over.

hi. i like the idea and the tipping over room that shows the feeling of something not real overtaking reality.

You still have some days, so there's no need for rushing :)

looks cool...
