Hey,

Can anybody tell me how to freeze particals in mid air...

Let me explain..
I've got partical cloud of cubes, and I wanted them alle turned randomly so I gave them a spin etc. and on frame 6 they are perfect... But now I want to spin a camera around the cloud, without the cubes turning ( so they have to stay the exact same way as in frame 6 )... how do I do that...

hope somebody will be able to help me..

No problem, so long as the particle sys. does'nt need to be animated after frame 6.

Use the snapshot function too make a mesh of the particle system at frame 6.

Animate the visibility track so that the animated part.sys. disapears at frame 6, and the mesh appears at frame 6.

You could theoretically have it animate after it's frozen and you do the camera rotation, but you'd have to have 2 identicle particle systems.

Hope this helps.

It's located in the "Tools" drop down menu, if that helps.
