This is an illustration I've created based on the children’s book by Enid Blyton; The Faraway Tree. I read it as a kid and loved it. I read it again recently which was what inspired me to do this illustration.
The book is very simply written, but it is amazing how much more I filled in with my imagination as a kid. This was kind of an attempt to assure my guilty conscience by letting my adult imagination try to redeem itself!
I deliberately worked in Black and White. I prefer its simplicity
