This is the first sketch of mine for this challenge. I thought of a couple of adventurers hamsters. It would be funny, don't you think?
So good luck to each one of you because there is a lot of great work for this challenge.
Here we go!!

i just added the background and the scenary sketch for my "hamsters pirates adventurers". I would to do such a "pirate of the carabean look like" image. I think it could be a very big journey for them.
I also wanted to work on scale contrast between the small characters and the huge boat.
Tell me what do you think about it.

great work mate.
i just prefers the position of his right arm (holding sword) of the sketch.
maybe his torso could be more curved - this will add more dynamic in the gesture -
just a little bit like the other character , because i found it a little bit too static compared to the girl.

Just one more step before the coloring!!
I worked on the left character to become more dynamic and smoother.

I liked what you did to his head in the last sketch.. it adds a great deal of cunningness, which sort of fits the whole character of the theme.
When I look at the two of them together.. sometimes it feels odd to have them both point their nose downwards... but I wouldn't want you to change his latest pose.. it fits perfectly.
Mmm just being difficult here.
Great stuff!
Good Luck!

Nice characters, u got 20 days bud good luck!
Wow, very cool concept! Think it's gonna turn out great. Just an idea I got when staring at this piece - have you thought of some symbol on his hat? Like the standard "pirate" symbol would be a skeleton skull - but I think it could be cool with a cat skeleton skull in you'r case? :) Just a suggestion.
Keep it up man, can't wait to see you'r first color versions!

Hi my friend! really nice character design, as usual (it like also the "disney" style:))
When I saw your sketch I asked my self why are those Hamsters so exited?...and where are they going?
So I think that it would be interesting that you add perhaps a little detail of story in your composition.Pehaps another hamster showing a mysterious island in the background or a Hamster pirates ship with a dead head hamster flag (ah! ah! ah! :))...or perhaps a big whale wich is going to eat their ship...
So good luck for this new challenge.:)

First coloring for the female character. I would like to set a "cartoon" and fresh color palette. You also all had such greats ideas to improve my drawing : i will add a little bit more of story background (to answer the question "what are they doing?")
See ya!

First coloring for the left character. Perhaps i would add some details more to improve the "pirate style" of the hamster.

It looks fantastic, but I couldn't see where the Journey Begins theme comes in. How about adding an island in the distance, so that we know they want to escape to that island?
Keep up the great work and all the best!

The character and detail rendering is very nice so far. It's possible that your characters are getting a bit lost on your background: Everything foreground and back is a similar value and incorporates a lot of browns. I think the 2 main characters realla lot more clearly in post #3 before the are behind them started getting filled in. Good luck with it!
