I can use successfully the Render To Texture feature in 3ds max with the standard max materials. But I have difficulties if I want to use Mental Ray shaders. Even simple shaders yield nothing than black. I would say that RTT simply doesn't work with mental ray shaders but the dgs shader works as expected.
What can I do to get RTT together with Mental Ray shaders to work? What is the difference between the dgs shader and other shaders?
