View Full Version : filling a glass object ? best way?

Hi all,

I've just made a glass object and now I want to fill it with something. But it isn't working quite well.


As you can see, the 'filling' comes through the object. Does anyone know a good way to do this?

Any crits on the object are welcome too :-)

Usually I just duplicate a surface curve, edit it, and revolve it. I can't tell whether the interior of your object is symmetrical or not.... so i don't know if it will work.

Im not really sure, but I guess boolean should do the trick

Thanx guys,.. ! I figured it all out :)

I just got VRay today and tried it out on this glass object thing. Before Vray I used Brazil... so, I rendered in both to compare them... this is the result:

The Brazil render took almost 20 minutes. As far as I can recall, the VRay render took about 10 min.

Anyway,... crits and suggestions are still welcome :-)
