robotbob 04-21-2006, 11:35 PM hey - just thought i would share this - its a test for a zombie spot for a night of the living dead TVC project ( i love zombie films ) but it uses HAIR which is so very good. i love it.
for those that have seen my folder promo you may recognise the weather girl - whos not so lovely now . . . . \

The animation looks really good. Did you use some motiontracking or rotoscoping? I ask because it looks very natural. Also the style and rendering is very cool.

yep the walk cycle is nice. i am lucky because i can use motionbuilder at a friendly studio close by - so the underlying base for these animations is mocap.

motionbuilder is amazing and what i will judge all CA tools by. i am really looking forward to owning CD's new tools - i would like to do more CA in cinema .
MB is a big bright light but switching between the two is a hastle for me because i have to change computers and locations. you only port the animation data back into C4D - no mesh data is moved back.
tweaking anything in c4d is difficult so you go back to MB tweak - re-import your animation data via FBX . . . MB is so good this is a tiny hastle compared to struggling with mocca evils.

that is great and funny! I love the 2d/3d combo stlye- the hair looks really good too. would love to see some closeups
