This is just a lighting and Rendering test in Maya and Mental Ray :banghead:
Still need to get the correct DOF, the windows on the building needs to be fixed, and currently giving R8 (the robot) new texture theme.

What do you girls and boys think?

1. Is the rendering too soft?
2. not enough spec high lights?

i won't be using this background by the way, it is just a test....

I like it, but I think it would look a lot better at night. Simply because he trying to hide, and you have all those street lights, so why not use them? A night shot with the lightpost lighting the sign, one in front of the school, and one next to him, so he is bathed in shadow but mabye his head and his gun are sticking out into the light would look really cool. I like the concept, got any ideas for closeups?
