An update...next steps: Color and Highlights

Najd
01-02-2003, 04:21 PM
Great picture man. Just a perfect donald, the details and all are good.

maybe it's still looking too "disney"

but :buttrock:

Tommy Lee
01-02-2003, 04:21 PM
And the colored on...next step: Background:wip:

And now it doesnīt look like Disney, doesnīt it??

.gomes
01-02-2003, 04:25 PM
yeah thats cool :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

work u with painter or ps ?

Gkaine
01-02-2003, 04:27 PM
can you explain in detail how you went from 1 to 2 to 3 if its not to much trouble :P

Najd
01-02-2003, 04:31 PM
yesssss
now it's scary !! :buttrock:

Are you going to do a background ??

Najd
01-02-2003, 04:36 PM
now that I think about it...

would have been cool if it was his eye in his hand :)

Tommy Lee
01-02-2003, 04:45 PM
@Gomes: Thanks man... and I work with PS 7.0

@Najd: Look at the text of the colored version:rolleyes:
And I think the idea with the eye would be to much. Thanks for the nice words:beer:

@Gkaine: Thanks...and Poooooooooh, thats heavy..I donīt speak english that well, but Iīll try:
STEP 1: I scetch it out on paper, ink and scan it. Then I clean it up, so that just the Ink is showing. I make a Background-layer and a seperat layer for the Ink. I never use white for the background, because of the highlightwork in the end.

STEP 2: Now I start to shade it with greytones in multiple-mode(10-60 percent greytones), like on paper with a pencil or markers. Then I have the shaded pic. Also do some details right in this stage.

STEP 3: Also in multiplemode I do the color over the greywork. And shade it also with a different color(mostly blue) again.
In the end I do the Highlights in Normal-mode. First with max 10%..like gouache on paper. The strong Highlights with 50-80%.

Thatīs it and sorry for my poor english.

Kirt
01-02-2003, 04:56 PM
Eewwww ... Tommy you're so gross. :D
I love it! It's the perfect "Resident Evil" type creature! I can't wait to see what you add in the background.

Rye
01-02-2003, 04:57 PM
hahaha this is great! Even better than a bunny pulling out his guts, make a disney character do it! :D Like Najd said before, I think since he is holding an eye in his hand, one of his eyes should just be a big gaping bloody hole. Keep going, this is hillarious

Tommy Lee
01-02-2003, 05:02 PM
Thanks!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

@Kirt: Just the typical Sick-twisted-bastard-how-ya-like-it-Tommy Lee-Style...pooooooooh!!!HEHE!!!

@Rye: Thanks dude!!!!:beer: I think a missing eye is to much:wip:

Till the next update in the Forumfunthread!!!!!

Kirt
01-02-2003, 05:03 PM
