Iam not sure if my ideas is clear enought yet... I wanted to depict young elfes forced to flee from theier castle, wchich is being attacked by some evil creatures. Ment to be a static piece but now Iam not sure about it. And where are the evil creatures? :) I'll do some more sketching this weekend.

It's a nice sketch so far, and an interesting angle. The blood on the sword makes it feel (to me) like they've already been on a Journey (because the'ye already encounterred bad-guys), not that their Journey is just beginning. But like you said, it's just a first sketch... Good luck as you develop this! :)

Idea changed:) I got bored with elfes escaping their castle and few other ideas that I had during last 2 weeks...and at last found something that I want to finish some more : here it is.

The dwarfs and few more things still lame - I need some more time and do some research..

I did a lot of sketching lately and had some better and worse concepts for the challenge ... but after all - I'am going for the first elfes idea, but with a little fix.

The illustration still needs a lot of tenderness.. hope to have some time for it soon.

Iam hoping for all kind of creative critique. :)

Hmm elf forced to escape from his castle. What about chaotic elf burning down their own castle and head to another castle to bring chaotic to them again and say "Holy shit! I'm bore to be a good guy" hee hee. Or something like elf must retreat from their own forest because the industrial will take their place to make some factory blah blah...

I mean there's many way to begin the journey, not only wars but some goddamn problem or stupid thing can bring the great inspire to journey too. The thing is "elf got away from their own town" if I must do such a thing I will sneak away from war theme, it's not the only thing to bring chaotic hee hee. Another idea is about explore your own life, bring your own experience and change it to be fantasy, this's another way I'm always use to make some idea too.

Fiduciose: Thanks for the feedback..You are right of course - sometimes small thing can set up the journey, I even I thought about the industrial thingie.. but Iam kind of in the fantasy like mood and after all decided to make it more simple - with the classic revange like feeling...

Walrus:I cleaned the sword - no blood now. After all, its the begining :)

nice concepts you have here. I like the environment of your last one. Nice colors and i prefer the destoyed city with the ashes and dust in the air. i prefer the characters though from your first sketch. I like the emotion of the girl and the way the two are together holding hands. It also holds more story. Anyway, good luck with this. Its looking good.

Still a lot to do - a lot of tempshit and mess here and there.. I wonder should he hold the sword or just look at it - it might looks little like he destroyed the city ot else. But i guess it looks better when he holds it...

very cool perspective and sense of destruction you have in place here. i like the mood, colors, and direction your piece is heading in. you might think about adding a source for all the blood on the ground -- where are the victims?

Main character changed :) I feel the running gnom/elf/child fits better. Iam not sure wchich one will be best.

Still many things are temporary... I had no power today to make the character funky. Hope to be back soon.

wow! much more action and intensity in just one day -- very nice job on the burning buildings and increasing the character's movements. effective!! i still believe you need to explain all the blood on the ground, though....

i love the slightly wide angled perspective / viewpoint as this allows us to see a lot more of the environment. The lighting works well too...

This tells the story well and I look forward to seeing how this develops

Here goes my line art. Most things in place... now lets play with colors and details :)

I hope the idea is clear. Dark elfes (brother and sister) surviving the destruction of their home are forced to start their journey.

Weekend at last! I hoped for more time for the challenge ..but still, its coming out ok. Its simple but I hope convincing :)
