I just updated to XSI 5.1 and chose to import my settings from 5.0. While my toolbars, etc. seem to have been imported, my undo and backups and selection preferences have been reset. It there a way to copy these over so that I don't have to go through and try to remember what each setting was.

I find I usually only realize that I've missed a setting after I've done something where that setting would have been really handy.

Thanks!

in the preferences property window you can right click on "preferences", export them from 5.0 and then import them into 5.1.

Dude, stop all that messing around with migrations once and for all and get accustomed to workgroups. You can create a workgroup, dump everything in there, and forget about migrating stuff from version to version, all you need is to connect to the workgroup.

I actually have started using using workgroups since getting your latest 3dtutorial videos. I didn't know that I could save all my user preferences in workgroups, I thought it was only for plugins, etc. I'll have to look into this more closely.

Thanks for the reply, I actually figured out that I could just copy the preferences from the 5.0 folder in my users menu to the 5.1 folder. Seems to work fine.
