That's really cool. Is there more info? Like where it will be held in each city? Guess we'll know more the closer it is.

I remember seeing photos of these cars a while ago and someone on these boards was like, wow that's a bad photoshop job.
All I can say is: lol.

I was there at the Disney Studios function. Very cool to see the full sized cars, especially after seeing the movie already :)

The coolest part of seeing these full-size Cars ... was when Lightning McQueen's engine was revved up. Very impressive and quite loud. If the CARS road trip 2006 makes it to your town, I encourage you to check out these Cars in person.

Honestly 'though, it shows how difficult photorealism is...I looked at those for a while thinking they looked a bit odd and that the lighting wasn't quite right....even 'though I knew fine they were real. It's like clouds, smoke, water etc. My girlfriend and I are always saying things in the real world look badly rendered...maybe the Matrix is a bit wonky in our part of the world :D
Anyway, back on topic...I love it when iconic things like this are brought to the public. I remember when I was like 8 or 9 going to see a car like the one in the Dukes of Hazzard, and a couple of years ago seeing a Coke lorry like they use in their Christmas ads. Hope they bring these to the UK

This was found inside the Cars site, under "news". It's still missing a lot of the dates listed on the first link provided, but at least we have times and locations for the first few stops.
I guess we'll all have to "check back regularly" to find anything new.
Has anybody seen or heard of these stops in their local media? Is this getting any publicity at all? This just seems buried/hidden to me.

I went and checked it out here in MN. It was kinda cool. Though it was rainin' out so it was under a big tent. They gave away some free posters and keychains and what not, but the big thing is that it was a state farm deal. they are giving away a bunch of mustangs and some other stuff but it had very little pixar stuff goin on there.
the cars are pretty sweet though.
