View Full Version : Upgrade to 7 or wait?

I am currently using 6.5 complete and have been toying with the idea of upgrading to 7 (mainly for the Adobe integration and the better uv mapping). However, do we think Alias(autodesk..<grumble>) will release a .5 or even 8.0 at Sigraph?

The reasons that should make you switch are:

o [ mental ray 3.45 (wich gets better from version to version)
o [ the compass in the top right corner wich lets you change the perspective vew into side, top , left , right, or bottom view, instantly , without changing the viewport , it just uses the persp viewport
o [ new splash screen :surprised

there are many new differences, but I don't use every darn feature of this great program, so theese are the good differences I noticed.
