View Full Version : frustrated with ShapeKeys.

Hi all

I was very frustrated about my shape animation setting.

My modeling is done in LW and export to XSI with morphs, I make some changes in XSI in Modeling construction mode, well, may be my mistake to change some shapes in the shape key mode. I would like to restore the positions of the vertexes into the base shape.

I've tried the "Modulated shapekey with weight map" or the "Reset Points" plugin, I was unable to restore the base model vertexes. The situation is about I was feeling pain in weight map painting that even I have define some points that has 100% of weight, the whole model later is restored to have all weightmap painted at 100%(unable to define the restore area), or the restore points are goes to the origin (0,0,0)

Somebody help! I don't what to redo all process because of a minor change.

I know the solution now: GATOR

Extract the polymesh (keep) that you want to Deform, and GATOR the shape animation. Then delete the original Shapekey, then GATOR back the shapekey information from the extracted polymesh.
