SEA MONSTERS @ National Geographic

Skills used- character rigging, animation, texturing, lighting using Maya 6.5
This was an animation project for the web module of Sea Monsters. I worked with various art researchers and scientists and additional historic data to understand the motion of the creature. Scientific data/diagrams were provided. Worked on story development for the attack sequence. Research included videos of relative oceanic animals like several fishes, sharks, turtles and lizards.

This is simply too weird. Last night I was reading in one of my paleanthology books on extinct marine reptiles, and I actually dreamt afterwards of swimming in the ocean with mr kronosaurus!
I checked the website and the visualizations you and your team made are simply stunning. Thanks to people like you we get a glimpse on how ancient fauna may have looked like and I so much appreciate it.

Yum yum. Just came back from the NG pages. Wow! I'm a huge fan of all things prehistoric and the imagery on those pages was stunning. Good work man. I tried to find some things to nag about but with no luck. Too beautiful! :)
