View Full Version : Motion capture files (bvh)

I have a little problem.
I have a lot of bvh file and others which i would like to use in motion builder
what i currently do is to import it to MB then it needs to be characterized,but i need to use several bvh files how do i make MB understand the naming conventions everytime i use a similar file .
I tried to understand this subject in the help but i coudn't .
Any body can explain it to me or know even another solution like how to rename the bones in the bvh file itself once in all files or something like that.

no replies ,is it so difficult or what?
ok,never mind i figure it out myself or at least this works for me.

*this might be already known

After manualy characterizing your character(bvh skeleton or else), save it fbx
then open your own characterized character ,then import the fbx character(that was bvh skeleton) do a motion retargeting.
-ok ,all that we now-
then merge any similar bvh in the scene and it should work fine on the bvh character
now you can try any motion in mocap library quickly.also you can plot motion(s) on your character and edit them to produce a total animation form only mocap files.
