Hi i need to make a sound wave in 3d i started with an ubershape cylinder and then use a lner deformation with does work but it is very iniform so not very usefull any ideas how i can mix it up lots to make it look better.

oh and i am having with adding constraints to things too can anyone to a oh o simple walk though as i read the manual far to many times and i must be misusing the simple thing but can't figure out what.

Hey Percy,

Matt Drummond posted a nifty tutorial about Parametric Oscillation that might suit your needs:

You can layer the deformations the way he shows, then run the regions past your shape (or shape through the regions) to get the 'sound wave' effect you need.
