I am a little confused. I have heard that the IK that was used in previous versions was bad and that the new IK in Mocca is so much better. I did the first few tuts in the Mocca tut pdf file and saw that there was some strange behaviour in the old IK, but I figured because it was the first tutorial that there was a lot of things that were being left out, so I continued on. Then I did the leg tut and found that this soft IK was hard to work with, in that everything was floating around all the time. how does a peson get normal IK, the stiff kind, but using the updated IK. One other thing that puzzled me is that I opened up one scene files that is included with the mocca tuts and payed it a few times. This is what the rig looked like after playing it. It got more distorted all the time. I am now moving on to the spine tut, but I am still puzzled because I am sure that there is a way to get things to behave the way that I want them to. Thanks for the help

I checked out the rig and found that alot of the bones did not have force position on, which is one of the reasons that things are way out of whack, but even after I turned them on things are still pretty haywire, but not as stretched out as is in the posted pic

You have to make sure that you multiselect the softIK tags for every bone other than the root bone and then tick the force posistion button.

If you are using 8.001 then I also think there are some rotation problems with the bone tool, I have to create my bones in a straight line and then move them with the normal move tool or they all rotate around themselves.

Still waiting for final disk unfortunately
