I added the deadline of January 31st. It looks as if the new challenges will be starting mid-January. That gives everyone a few weeks to work on this and allows a couple weeks for procrastinators (like myself) to finish up. :D

Jeroentje suggested a poll at the end where we can vote on our favorite entries. I think it's a good idea. Maybe, I can provide a web trophy as well to the winners. :thumbsup:

I´m in too, hope i can finish this.
Im working on a new version of Snow white and the seven dwarfs, a videogame cover maybe. This is a first sketch in painter, ill update the progress overwriting this post cuz i´ve read the rules and i dont want to be heavily moderated.

Added the dwarfs, a friend has lent me some warhammer miniatures so i have a good bunch of models on my desk.

CGfreak, I was wondering. Your latest tarzan piece, did you draw that from scratch or did you trace a screencap from the matrix? I was just wondering cause it looks alot like that scene from the matrix, from the angle to the pose, right down to the drapery on the trenchcoat.

Yeah, it seems you've either gotten really good since you're last pic or that you've decided to give a screencap some dreadlocks.

If you're gonna use this angle for your final submission, i suggest you don't . We cant even see tarzans face and i wouldn't have known it was tarzan unless you told me. A background would be nice too.

Rethink your concept and try to do more with it than just replacing a character in the matrix with Tarzan.

well, dis is my share! (a bit long.. sorry!)

This is for a videogame console,prefably an action platformer like Devil May Cry.The character is an adaptation of alice in wonderland except the heroine is not Alice... She is none other than the Queen of Hearts! Contrary to people's belief that she is just some fat woman, she is actually in very great shape havin won Ms Wonderland 10 straight times!

Well, the story goes that Alice bears a heavy grudge with the Queen and decides to take revenge and conquer Wonderland. She dedicated her life in the Army,learning deadly arts of Cat-Fu and being a mad scientist. After satisfied creating an army of mutant soldiers armed to the teeth with the most powerful arsenal, she invades Wonderland!

Well, the Queen never expected such an attack. In one fell swoop, Wonderland was conquered,Alice the new ruler and the Queen was exiled to a furthest part of Wonderland, no one dares to talk about.. The Land of Whatever.

The Queen being really pissed and all, sweared that she is gonna get back her throne and kick Alice cute little butt back to kingdom come. But first, the Queen needs to escape The Land of Whatever...

It is the time of King Authur & Camelot. This is Sir Drake Mallard, one of the highly respected Knights of St. Canard. He is an honourable duck, whose passion for justice is strong and love for his country great. He is also a single parent with a 12-year-old daughter (Gosalyn), a 14-year-old page boy (Honker) and a comrad and inventor (Dr. McQuack).

well, good old humpty dumpty jus has become one bad egg! after alice cracked his head for the 2nd time, he could not suppress his anger anymore.. humpty decides it is time for the egg to get crackin!! :D

You scared me, I thought I really messed it up. Its actually the fonts' fault. Its called "Blade Runner Movie Font" made by Ray Larabie (http://www.larabiefonts.com/) The font is so small and the compression makes it look like a "t".

Well, theres some wicked entries here by all participants. I can hardly wait till Jan. 31st to see them in their full glory.

Fireman, Delaque, a futuristic type setting might be cool. But my timeframe was more or less the present day Los Angeles. I didn't want technology to get in the way of Ariels dilemma. But i'm still working it out. Hopefully, i'll have the poster sketched out soon.

PaulSchoeni: Thats pretty cool man. But i'd definately fix the sword. And perhaps have those greek style mural thingies as a border for your poster. You know, those stylized women on the walls and pottery. Try to really get more greek stuff into it, that would really bring it out.

Delaque: Yeah, a bladerunner thing would kinda cool, now that you mention it. I always imagined her hypnotic singing like Sharon Apple from Macross Plus, only harder and louder. Don't get me wrong, Yoko Kanno is still a wicked composer.

rob: I agree with you on Mulan's legs, the perspective thing is hard to work out. Her right leg (our left) is okay, you can shade it and make it look alright. But her left leg seems too short. And the foot too small. That one needs more work, just keep drawing it until it looks right to you.

there is a pretty good tut for clouds, you could apply to your smoke problems. You have a great concept too. I really like the Uncle Scrooge duck in the background, very sinister. I also love the idea about the duck's tail coming out of the custom jeans, LOL! But the pinkie pointing off his gun makes him too efeminate(sp?) in my opinion.

Hey everyone. I almost missed this one. That would have sucked. Here is my idea so noone comes up with it before I have a sketch done tomorrow. It's Lilo and Stitch set in the future. Aliens have come down and killed Lilo's sister trying to get to Stitch, so noe Lilo and Stitch must avenge her death.

The tag line is:
Ho'opa'i means revenge, and revenge means no one gets left alive!

Im off tomorrow so I hope to get most of it done then.
