I really like the helicopter. I like gray shaded models too :)
It'll be sweet to see it painted and missles hot... (hopes)

Hi there :)
I think both models could do with a little bit more detail (in the actualy modelling), bit then again I'm a woman, so what would I know about jets and choppers, hey? ;)
But seriously, I do think that (especially the F22) will need really hot texturing to make it really come alive. But I'm sure finding references for that will be easy and in no time you'll have it looking great :) First tip: the specularity on the glass is wrong - bring up the glossiness setting :D
The chopper bugs me a bit because to me it looks a little catoonish, but I'm sure it probably does actually look like that and I'm just being picky.
Otherewise, good luck in finishing them off!!!
I really think some more of the guys on this forum should be posting replies here because I know a lot of them have a good knowledge of these. :(

Is that MAX?
Anyway, glass aren't blue in any aircraft. They are black with transparency set to maximum.
The models look good. The F-22 could have some rust on the body, and some nose art would help too :)

Excuse me, but how many F22s fly around with rust on them?
The texture could use a bit more detail, methinks. I really like the heli-model, but I'm having some trouble seeing the texture because of the dark render.
How did you model those badboys?
Anyways .. good work, keep us updated!

except for the glass I don't think there is any mapping on the 'copter.
rusty F22... hehe - I hope our military never gets to that point.

rusty F22? i sure hope they don't get that far either :)
thanks everybody
the helicopter is pretty dark colored, and that makes it hard to see (kinda what it is intended to do, but it makes it hard to render well, but i shall try some more :))
the textured parts on the helicopter are the side of the fuselage (that the right term? the big part) but it's not done so well, the rocket pods are, the instrument panels inside are as well. there is some more little detailing on the helicopter thats not in the grey shaded render, but is on the semi-textured render; that is, if you can see it :) i still have to add a flight stick and real pedals.
on the plane, there are some parts with no maps on them that actually do have painted maps..i just...haven't applied them yet :)

Ok, maybe I expressed in a bad way, but I meant simply some dirt. Every plane gets dirty after some point. Cause of repairs and all that stuff.....

I think the blades on the chopper may be too short, and way too stiff. And it might just be the ahgle but it looks like it may well chop of its tail?

Neat models. Not too much to comment at this stage.
I'd like to point out though the F-22 cockpit has a zig-zag edge.
Underdog: those blades are just fine for this helo (only a bit too thick maybe)
