Skip the cylindrical legs, make them alittle more shaped, thin cylindrical shaped legs ain't that fun that thoose with alittle curvature on. :)

if that is the shell he is wearing now.. i think you should make it a bit bigger... and in your drawings the legs comes out of the shell, and is not a part of it.... skip these comments if my eyes fooled me and you haven't made the shell...

Coming along well, I like his bug eyes, that's gonna bring a lot of character when he's done, just hope the shell will match it :)

Yea, a no from me as well, they look umm.... ghey. I like his skinny body, it fits well for WHY he has a shell, big protective case to cover up the small body, hehe. Good stuff.

LiquidStorm Thanks for popping in and leaving comments. I always seem to not get suggestions or help from many people...guess my work has to be great like everyone elses on this site to get comments but that will come in due time. Just need to keep at it and the skill will come. Thanks again. Cheers :)

No problem, I like to help out, unlike the dry and shallow people on these forums, jk hehe. I never get replies on my stuff, so helping others with theirs seems good while i work on my own.... i figure, if i reply to theirs, they'll reply to mine, maybe, but it also helps to make friends :)
Most people don't reply, which i think is a shame, people post to ask for help, and they just browse at the good stuff and leave the others to be. I'm not a pro at any of this, still learning, but I think suggestions, whether right or wrong, good or bad, always help out with whatever people are working on.
Oh yea and umm, I would make the inside of his shell [front part] curving out, instead of the small gut it has, looks weird, hehe.
Cerealkilla
04-30-2006, 02:13 PM
Lol I will work on the curve up front. Are you currently working on anything? Post a link so I can pop on over. Again friend thanks for the comments and suggestions.

NP, my stuff is just beginning, but if you want to take a look...

Seperate his shell from the front part of it... kinda like the koopa troopa, it'll look more like he has the shell on, instead of a costume, hehe.

I am stuck on how to create this effect for my texture. See the picture below of the Over the Hedge Turtle well I am trying to mimic the color scheme. I want to know how to create the greenskin with a highlight of brown on it. Any help would be appreciated. THanks.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
DaedraLord

they probably coded their own shaders for alot of objects in the movie. wich is probly what you would need for the highlight of brown perhaps a brownish ambiance in your material might also help to create that effect.
