I´m too late, but this is my own journey. When I first know about this theme, I started to look for references in the web. Than I found out the famous image of a little girl running from napalm bombs in vietnam. So, my idea was: pass the feeling of the pain, on a magic city (Fairy´s places), being destroyed by barbarian guys who rides chameleon (lizard). So, they (fairy) will have to start over a new civilization, without wings, houses and all of that. I hope you like it, and comment it.

Well, here I used some colors I wanted to, but I´m not sure about that. Would you help me? I´m just thinking about using lightning colors in the center top, and darken on the bottom part. Showing that she will have to leave the light and begin her journey in the dark side of the wood.
