hi guys
im a user of cgtalk but this is my very first post.I want to share some of my work.one thing that i like to do in 3d is lowpoly modeling so this was my first model with texture,a nasty bloody creature.im not very good at texture painting so this is a mix of a max material and painting in photoshop, then rendered usin lightening. created in max 5

Looks really good :) Good job.
I ilke how it doesn't have eyes, it's scarier, and more unique. :)

try adding some darker spots and highlights around certain areas to bring out the texture
the dodge and burn tools in PS are great ones to learn
also, i don't remember what it's called in max, but try softening the edges on the non-organic parts of the model, i don't know if that's the look you're going for or not, but i think it would look a little better.
keep with it

hi guys
thanks GregorCZ for the comment :).i also prefer with no eyes.i tryed to paint eyes but it looked to weird.i´m glad you like it
thanks for the tips dpizzle ;).i should also make it look more wet, increasing the highlights and bumps.as for the non-organic parts thats because im rendering with no smoothing.i really wanted that metal effect with the edges.
here it is a pose to test the skin

and the rig.i could just use the biped, but i think is good practice to learn how to rig from scratch.im using ik and spline ik for the torso

ewww, he's disgusting! :p
I think with all that blood on him the metal arm bands and stuff look way too clean. Put some blood spots on them too, make them dirty.
