I live in Delft at the moment, a beautiful historical town, maybe the most historical of the netherlands. As a matter of fact I live about 15 meters from the house of Johannes Vermeer. Too bad they demolished it, now I am looking right onto one huge massive church.

anyway this is the view at the voldersgracht, with the new church.

I am sorry but I don't have access to a scanner here so I made it on photoshop.

My town is called Cap-Rouge, it's now blended in Quebec city. I used a reference picture I took last year in B&W so I wanted to draw it in B&W too. I remove all building to save time and too keep it not to ugly!!! The bridge is called the 'Tracel', a train bridge to cross over the river and the cape. It's a very nice place.
here a link to another pic.(not my ref): http://image06.webshots.com/6/6/17/93/96761793floDwd_ph.jpg

hope you like it

I said not: one of the oldest, I said: one of the most - historical - cities. As you probably know William the Silent, Father of the Fatherland, lived and died (the bulletholes are still there) in Delft. I mean, all our royalties usually are buried in the new church of Delft
The old church of Delft is given 1050 as date of birth btw ;)

Ah well, Amsterdam is wonderfull too...I love the Jordan and the paleis op de dam.
blijft toch je hoofdstad he ;)

No way Zyrinx, I'm from Denver too . . . well Boulder, but close enough. Is it scary to you that I know where you drew that?

bleumoon - wow, that wasn't even a good drawing, I'm impressed. The cash register building kinda gives it away though. I was going to do the QWest building too but I'm mad at them for ruining the skyline... and I work for Comcast. You, Mecha, Wiggin and I all from the same area (kindof). Small world on such a big site. And even smaller world I see you went to VFS. Me too! Crazy small world. Are you still at VFS? I miss Van soo bad!

It's a Cylindrical City... I just randomly thought of these simplistic, but cool looking buildings which lay over the coastal peninsula's of some island!
