This is a Poster I've done for my Christian Club at School, Also with some extras It will run as our flyer cover... I think its bout time we started looking INTERESTING for once.


I modeled it in XSI, rendered it in XSI, and then the post production was done in Photoshop.

(this btw Will be an 8.5x11 Sized poster.)


So what do you Guys think? (its my first real use of 3d)

I do not think it is that bad at all. Depends what you want.. simple and to the point? then you got that done right.

I like it, nice to see some more christians in the 3D world too :thumbsup: . I think the emptyness works well with the text. Definately good. It is sort of hard to see the cross at first though, maybe make it a TAD more noticable as a bible?

well Its for a School Christian Club, I don't know if my schools lax enough to allow bibles on posters so I thought it a better idea to make it generic, I may play with the layout again though in 3d and see if i can get the shadow diffrent.

well, at my school, and in WA state, the rule is you are allowed to annouce it (posters, announcements, etc.) but cant force it upon someone (i.e. handing out flyers in the hall personally, blah blah). It sounds stupid, but thats what our club in Highschool did. I think a poster would be fine... i mean they are letting you meet right?

the side part of the bible (the pages) looks a bit odd - maybe some shadow from the top cover will help..

and: is announcing a religious meating forbidden in canada :surprised ? or did I get that wrong?

I really like the layout and it's very appealing to the eye, but I don't understand the "Is something missing?" thing.

I'm not a christian (may explain the not understanding of the question), but I think if a santanist club is allowed in a highschool, why should a christian club be denied existence?

well were aloud to meet, were aloud to invite people, were aloud to hand out fylers but i don't know when it stops being aloud! Its my first year so I've not run into any of the problems from before, and I'll try to get a more pernounced shadow.

Thanks guys This kinda turnd into a WIP, accept not "really" cause I mean Its done as it is so meh!


And I "think" that putting a cover on the bible will be okay.

also Brian Did the poster make you think "whats missing?" If so then it did what i was hopeing it did, its a poster for christians and non christians in my school to see and hopefuly come to the christian club to find out more. I think I'll make a whole bunch of diffrent variations (like a real add campaign) and we'll use them in diffrent places and in diffrent ways.

Hmm, I'd think a book like the bible would be smaller in size and thicker with pages.
