OK, lets see, im in boujou. Trying to track an Hd Camera Move. I have put locators for additional tracking information help. Those particular locators are on the corners of my ancient pool in the center of the shot. I also put Survey Points on those locators, specifying the shape of the pool with a right triangle. The track seems to be fine. I have put 3 different test objects in the scene. They seem to be doing alright, sliding a bit. I have posted several pictures to see the evolution of this slide. The track seems fine, but i think boujou is having a hard time figuring out my depth, which is resulting in an incorrect fov or focal length, in turn causing my 3d planes to have different perspective's than my footage (they arent matching up for my 3d composite. Ok, so i have tracked, solved, addes locators as well as survey points. Added test objects. What am i missing? how do i correct this incorrect depth and fov/ focal length problem, when the boujou cam is imported to XSI i probably need a 30 fov to make up for the wrong perspective? If anyone could help it would be great!!!

have a great weekend all!!

I'm also having a hard time tracking an HD video in boujou. But first I think you need to know the focal lenght of your camera, so that boujou can track it right. Did you use camera zoom? If so, I've read in boujou manual that it can confuse boujou that might think of it as a camera dolly. So, give us some more information about how did you shot your scene so that we can help you.

I would also mask some areas in the ground, the irregular sand can confuse boujou tracking.

i really think the solution is in your post....knowing the focal length is a huge piece of information for boujou.....if you can find out what it is put it in.....also one thing to keep track of is your frame rate.....sometimes boujou will interpret HD footage as having a framerate of 23.97(I forget the exacte number) yet software like maya can't do custom framerates I believe..... if XSI can't do 23.97 you're going to have more slipping
