This question has been asked several times on the RealFlow forum at Nextlimit:

It is difficult to distribute physics simulations between different computers, because they depend on interaction of objects such as collision detection which is hard to transfer efficiently over a network.

It is possible, but not at all worth your time - simply because the distribution of the particle sim. frames would not initially follow in order, and even if they did - it wouldn't matter because frame 2 would need frame 1 data in order to simulate correctly, meaning that you could only simulate one frame at a time in the first place. What you need the farm for is for a more powerful rendering solution than simulation power.
